The Association of Sheikh Imam Fans for Arts is an Egyptian cultural institution, officially established in 2015, dedicated to reviving and preserving the heritage of Sheikh Imam and his fellow poets through its downtown Cairo headquarters, its rich library, and its monthly gathering held continuously for six years. وتستقبل الجمعية الزوار من الأعضاء والأصدقاء من محبي الشيخ إمام والراغبين في الإنضمام لعضوية الجمعية أيام السبت والثلاثاء والخميس من كل أسبوع بداية من الساعة السادسة وحتى العاشرة مساءًا.
The association welcomes visitors, members and friends who are admirers of Sheikh Imam, as well as those wishing to join its membership on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays each week, from six until ten in the evening.
وتضم الجمعية المقتنيات الشخصية للراحل الكبير إمام عيسى وعدد من رفاق مسيرته من كبار شعراء العامية المصرية كما تحتوى على مكتبة تجمع عدد كبير من الكتب الصادرة عن الشيخ ومذكراته ودواوين رفاقه
The association holds the personal belongings of the great late Imam Issa (Sheikh Imam) and several of his companions from among the leading poets of Egyptian colloquial verse. It also houses a library containing a large collection of books published about the Sheikh, his memoirs, and the poetry collections (diwans) of his companions
اما عن التجمع الشهري لمحبي الشيخ فهو نشاط دورى تقيمه الجمعية في موعده الثابت الجمعة الأولى من كل شهر حيث انطلق واستمر على مدار ٦ سنوات في رحلة تم التنقل خلالها من مدينة نصر ومقهى ستاربوكس الثقافي إلى قهوة عاشور بحوش قدم حيث وطن الثنائي العظيم إمام ونجم ثم إلى مسرح الضمة بعابدين خلال فترات الصيف بضيافة كريمة من مركز المصطبة للموسيقى والفنون الشعبية ثم إلى مركز الربع الثقافي و جزويت القاهرة
As for the monthly gathering of Sheikh Imam's admirers, this is a recurring event held by the association on its fixed date the first Friday of every month. It began and has continued over the course of six years, taking us on a journey through several venues:
Nasr City, at the Starbucks Cultural Café
Ashour Café in Hosh Qadam, the historic home of the great duo Imam and Negm (Sheikh Imam and poet Ahmed Fouad Negm)
Al-Damma Theatre in Abdeen, during summer periods, hosted generously by the Mastaba Center for Music and Folk Arts
Al-Rab' Cultural Center
The Cairo Jesuit
يتعمّد النادي في أغلب المناسبات أن يغنّي المطرب والكورال المصاحب له دون مكبرات صوت، إيماناً منهم بأن غناء الشيخ إمام فعالية جماعية وغناء مشترك مع الجمهور لا يقوم على الانفصال بينهما
On most occasions, the club deliberately has the singer and accompanying chorus perform without microphones, believing that singing Sheikh Imam's songs is a collective activity, a shared singing experience with the audience that cannot be built on separation between them
كما تنظّم الجمعية حفلات في الإسكندرية ومحافظات أخرى
The association also organizes concerts in Alexandria and other governorates
وتنظّم الجمعية أحياناً زيارات إلى حوش قدم وقهوة عاشور، للتجوّل في أثر الشيخ إمام ومسيرته
It occasionally arranges visits to Hosh Qadam and Ashour Café, tracing the footsteps and legacy of Sheikh Imam.
